Day 3- January 9, 2020
Dear Adventure Avenue,
Our day started at 7:15 am. I had a bagel in the room before we raced down to the bus. We luckily were able to run to catch the bus to Magic Kingdom before it left.
We got there before the park even opened and decided to rope drop and go to Space Mountain. Cast members escorted a swarm of park guests to the ride to curb stampeding.
It was a really neat experience to be one of the first cars of the day and not have to wait hours to ride Space Mountain. I even got to sit in the front. Personally, I think the Space Mountain here is better than in California.
After that, we rode on the Florida version of Autopia, the TomorrowLand Speedway. It was a bit of a long line because they waited to open up a second road.
We had a fastpass for Big Thunder Mountain so we walked over there and did that. It’s a lot longer than in California; I quite liked that.
Then we went on the Haunted Mansion. The sign said it was a 20 minute wait but it was quicker than that.
Up next was Jungle Cruise. That line was wayyy too long. We waited for an hour and the wait time said 40 minutes. The ride itself was okay. It is longer and a little different than in California.
Then we met up with Oma and Papa and went of Buzz Lightyear. It was terrible compared to Toy Story Mania and California’s version. The guns were hard to press. All the targets looked the same so you couldn’t pick the higher point targets. Definitely would not have been worth the long normal line.
For lunch we all ate at the Starlight Café in Tomorrowland. I had a Mickey burger which had macaroni and cheese, bacon, and I added some mushrooms from the topping bar. Delicious!
After lunch, we went on the Peoplemover. It was a perfect after lunch ride.
We had a fastpass for Space Mountain. My mom and Oma didn’t go on so my brother and I got to go again with their magic bands. Papa went to the Carousel of Progress.
After Space Mountain my dad, Papa, and I went to the Hall of Presidents while everyone else went to Country Bears Jamboree. I quite enjoyed the animatronics of the presidents.
Then we three took the monorail to the central station and then switched to get a connection to Epcot.
In Epcot we went on one of my favorites, Living With the Land. I enjoy seeing all the ways they grow the plants.
After that we walked on to Soarin Over the World. We learned a valuable lesson that we applied after dinner with the rest of the family. Section B1 is the best for viewing.
Before dinner, my dad and I got a crêpe with chocolate and then walked over to Italy with Papa. We sat on a bench and people watched. Papa occasionally would sit down before getting up and puttering around.
We ate dinner at Via Napoli Pizzeria. I had a delicious strawberry aqua Fresca type drink. It was very refreshing and was not full of sugar. My pizza was also quite good. Everything was super fresh. For dessert I had pistachio gelato. I would go back here again for sure!
After dinner Papa went back to the room and everyone else went on Soarin and Spaceship Earth.
The fireworks show was ending as we left the park. For the first time ever we had to wait in line for the skyliner. But it wasn’t even that bad of a wait.
Now it is time for bed and to sleep in tomorrow.
Until tomorrow,
A
