Whitey’s Fish Camp on Flemings Island – Jacksonville, Florida 2024

Dear Adventure Avenue,

During my business trip to Florida in November 2024, I asked one of the locals who I worked with for somewhere good to eat and they recommended Whitey’s Fish Camp on Flemings Island. Whitey’s Fish Camp was about a 20 minute drive from my hotel in Middleburg.

This restaurant is right on the water with a great ambiance. We sat outside at one of the high top tables right on the water.

The Food

  • I loved the shrimp scampi!
  • This Orange cake was very orange-y
  • The bread pudding was really good!

When I was flying out of Jacksonville, I met a woman on the plane who works near Whitey’s and she confirmed it is definitely a local’s spot.
