Dear Adventure Avenue,
I will admit I was influenced to go to yoga at the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, California through a (targeted) Instagram ad, but I’m so glad I went! It was so beautiful and peaceful to hear the birds chirping during a morning practice of yoga.

The class was $20 for an hour long class starting at 8am. I arrived about 5 minutes before class started and found the entrance for the yoga on the side of the building, to the right of the main entrance. I had my bag searched by security before I was let in. Luckily, I had left my car keys with my pepper spray at home as pepper spray and mace were not permitted inside.
It was already filled with people when I arrived, but I was able to squeeze into the front row, right in front of the instructor. I’d say there were about 10-15 people there.

I’d recommend getting there at least 15 minutes before to secure a good spot. Since I was on the later side, my spot did end up in the sun but if I was closer to the wall, I would’ve still been in the shade.

It was a beautiful setup facing the reflecting pool with Nixon’s childhood house behind us, surrounded by the flowers.
Our yoga instructor was wonderful and led a very nice flow.
After our hour was up, we packed up our mats and headed out of the library before it was even open to the public.
I would definitely do this event again!
Until next time,
A
