Dear Adventure Avenue,

Some friends and I drove up to Big Bear to spend the weekend at an AirBnB we’d booked for a fun Friends weekend.

As we drove up, I enjoyed seeing the snow that was still there, as well as the lake when we first caught site of it!

My car was the first to arrive at the AirBnB, so my friend and I decided to call dibs on the Master which had its own bathroom.

I loved that this place had a pool table, so we were able to play a couple rounds of pool. Turns out, I’m not too bad at it! 😉

The first night we were there, we went into town and got pizza from Saucy Mamas. It was good, but again, similar to the Big Bear Lake Brewing Company, it was a bit pricy. That is to be expected in the mountains though.

As an early riser, I was the first one up in the house which meant I got to enjoy the deck with a cup of tea all to myself.

Once everyone got up, I helped make eggs and bacon for group before we got up and at them for the day.
One of our first stops was to check out the lake. There was a little dock that you could scale down the hill to get to that had a pole with a thick rope that you could swing around the lake on. I was nervous I was going to fall in, but I didn’t! It was fun!

For lunch, we headed into town and ate at Big Bear Lake Brewing Company and walked around the shops around the downtown.
Afterward we got back to the Airbnb, I spend some time in the hammock and the hot tub! I LOVED the amenities at the Airbnb.
For dinner, we made table nachos which involved putting down a ton of foil, a ton of chips and every nacho topping you can think of.

I was once again the first one up, so I enjoyed a nice mug of hot tea on the balcony porch until everyone got up.

After breakfast and packing up, my friend and I went and did Cougar Crest Trailhead. Her and I had a nice hike and enjoyed some homemade PB&Js as our lunch.
Here is the link to the Airbnb we stayed out in Fawnskin!
Until next time,
