On my last day in Big Bear, one of my friends and I decided to go for a hike at the Cougar Crest Trailhead. This hike was 5 miles.
We found free parking on the road and walked to the trailhead.
This hike had a gradual incline the entire time. It starts pretty close to lake level and then by the the time you reached the top, you could see the lake below.
I was very excited to spot a little patch of snow on the ground – in April no less!
The hike was an out and back hike, but the going back felt way quicker since it was all downhill!
If you love gorgeous lake views and pine trees, this is a great active beginner friendly hike!
