Chino Hills State Park Discovery Center – Weeding Invasive Species – February 2026

Dear Adventure Avenues,

In February, I went to Chino Hill State Park near their discovery center to weed out invasive species.

These California hills are full of invasive species, such as mustard, poisonous Hemlock, and thistle.

A nice cleared space so the native trees can grow.

This was my first time doing a weed pulling at Chino Hill State Park. I really enjoyed the experience, talking to the Park volunteers and learning about both native and invasive species.

I can’t wait to go back and volunteer again!

Until next time,

A
