Day 1- January 7, 2020
Dear Adventure Avenue,
SPOILER Warning- this post contains pictures of Star Wars Land so in case you haven’t been and are like me and don’t like Star Wars spoilers- This is not the post you’re looking for 😉
It was a long day of travel but when I saw the First Order troopers on the Orlando shuttle I knew I was almost there.
Disney really makes for a smooth transition from plane to bus to hotel. The bus ride to our hotel took about 50 minutes.
Our hotel, the Riviera, is AMAZING. I will discuss it later in it’s own post because it needs it. It is so amazing. It’s French themed which I love because French plus Disney is a dream come true for me.
We ate dinner at Primo Piatto. I had a bacon cheeseburger but I wish I had gotten the Riviera which had caramelized onions and mushrooms on it. My Oma got that and it was delicious. (I tried a bite.)
We later discovered that quick service waitresses can not accept tips. Maria was so kind, accommodating, and helpful for my uncle after his order was not delivered.
After we finally finished dinner (it felt like forever), we went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios by Skyliner. I have to say I was a bit frightened of it, as I am scared of heights. Although I realized that if I sat in a forward facing seat I did not have any problems.
I got to experience Star Wars Land for the first time. I walked around with my mouth hanging open because I was in awe. I couldn’t believe how big and realistic it was.
We were there too late to get on any of the rides, but we were able to jump on Star Tours which was only a 10 minute wait. (My parents, brother, uncle, and I went on it). Then we had a fastpass for the Rock and Roll Rollercoaster, but my mom sat that one out.
Rock and Roll Rollercoaster shoots you out and then it’s like a Space Mountain that goes upside down.
My dad and I tried to head back over to Star Wars Land, but the park was closing so we took the skyliner back to the hotel.
Until tomorrow,
A
