Dear Adventure Avenues,
After visiting Tru Blu Coffee, my friend and I checked out the Irvine Regional Park & OC Zoo for the first time!
Upon entry to the park, we did have to pay for parking which was $5. There were a few different lots to park in. We parked pretty close to the zoo.
Even before going to the zoo, we saw a giant peacock!

Entry to the zoo was $2 a person. There were quite a few animals in the zoo, but most of them in here were animals that were injured in a way that make it so they couldn’t be reintroduced into the wild. For example there was a three-legged wild cat.

This bear had been hit by a car. They have trained him in a way to do a wellness checks safely on him.

In addition to the wild animals, there was also a petting zoo! I loved petting the goats.

The Park
There was a small lake that you could paddle boat in, but that was still closed for the season.
There were also some ponies!
I didn’t take photos of it, but there was also a train (also not operational yet for the season when I went in April).
Until next time,
A
