Day 2
July 11, 2019
Dear Adventure Avenue,
This morning started out pretty early as we ate some bagels with cream cheese in our room. After bagels we got ready to go to Kapalua Bay.
We made a quick stop at McDonalds before luckily finding a parking spot near the beach.
My dad, brother, and I went out to snorkel. We came face to face with a giant sea turtle not once but twice. The second time it was just my dad and I, but that time the turtle snuck up on us and came towards us. The turtle was very fearless. It went so close to a guy that the guy accidentally touched the turtle. It frightened the guy a little bit because he was cleaning his goggles and was not expecting a turtle to be right next to him.
After the beach we went to an ABC store with a deli and picked up some lunch. My brother and I split the orange chicken which was really good. My mom got the teriyaki chicken which had a very strong teriyaki taste to it.
We then went down to the pool and went down the water slide a bunch of times. Unfortunately, we all moved at a rather slow pace down the slide– with the exception of my dad.
For dinner, I had a chicken quesadilla that my mom got at Auntie’s Kitchen. We both really enjoyed the quesadilla.
