OC Library Author Event: Christopher Paolini Murtaugh Book Launch

Dear Adventure Avenue,

One of my goals for the year is to participate in at least five library activities, so when my friend told me about an author event for Christopher Paolini at the Tustin Community Center, I was super excited to go! Christopher Paolini is a fantasy author of the book Eragon.

I arrived at the Tustin Community Center an hour before the event and there was already a line around the block!

While waiting in line, they handed out delicious little drinks. They tasted like the Starbucks Pink Drink!

As we walked into the event, we were handed a free copy of Paolini’s new Deluxe edition book, Murtagh.

My 2 books that I got signed. The one on the left was the free one! I snapped this pic when I got home.

We were lucky to arrive early enough to get seats. While we waited, there was a place where you could buy his books, so I bought book one, Eragon to read. My friends and I plan to read the first book as part of a mini book club.

Christopher Paolini came out and talked about his books and answered questions about his writing process. He even spoke some elvish and dwarfish, which was super cool!

After listening to Paolini speaking, everyone lined up to get their books signed.

Paolini signed both Eragon and Murtaugh! He also gave my friend who’s writing her own fantasy novel some book writing advice.

All in all, it was a great event, and I had a great time!

Until next time,

A
