December 29-30, 2023
Dear Adventure Avenue,
I met grand-mère at the airport and we flew to Dallas for our layover.
With no issues, we got to enjoy the flagship lounge for a couple hours before boarding our plane to Paris!
We cleared customs and got a cab to our hotel: Hyatt Regency Étoiles.
We met my parents and brother as they had gotten there a day before us. We dropped our bags off and went up to the club to get some snacks and a quick tea.
Then we went our separate ways. They went to Versailles and Mere and I went to the Musée de Cluny which is a really neat museum about Medieval France. We took the Metro there using line 1 and switching to line 4.
A note: the Metro is a lot of stairs and walking.

Halfway through we stopped at the little cafe in the museum and had a snack because I realized I hadn’t eaten anything.
I had a pear tartelette and Mere had a honey muffin. Both were very buttery and delicious.
We also wanted to check out La Sorbonne, but it was closed/we weren’t able to go in, but we took pictures outside.
Then we took an Uber back to the hotel and relaxed.
We went up to the 34th floor as we’re club level which means we can get the free food and drinks there at breakfast and lunch.
Then we went to the Boeuf Maillot for dinner. Mom and I split the tenderloin and green beans. Dad and my brother each had the tenderloin and garlic potatoes and fries, respectively. Mere had mussels in a cream sauce with fries. For dessert we split a delicious minute vanilla (with real vanilla beans) ice cream with homemade caramel sauce. It was so good!
We headed back to the hotel and went to bed.
Until tomorrow,
A
