Dear Adventure Avenue,
Back in February, my best friend and I went on a San Diego Day Trip.
We started the day off with some brunch at Stacks Pancake House in Irvine, California. I got the 2 of everything option – 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, and 2 eggs. I t was delicious. My friend got the eggs benedict.

In hind sight, we probably should have made brunch breakfast and gotten on the road a little earlier because we hit some heavy traffic, but that just meant more time in the car to chat and listen to Taylor Swift.
Sand N’ Straw Farm
Our first stop of the day was Sand N’ Straw Farm in Vista, California. I paid to the animal feeding which for me was worth paying the $15 per person to do it because I thoroughly enjoyed my time feeding the animals. I also loved that I was supporting a small farm!

This goat was so cute – and also a little crazy.
I got some delicious, and pretty affordable, fruit while we were there as well. The blood oranges were probably my favorite!
Boba Stop
After the Farm, we stopped to get some Boba at

After drinking our teas, we went to Westfield UTC, a nearby mall, and walked around. Parking was only free for a couple hours, but luckily we are pros and set a timer to ensure we didn’t stay too long. Plus, we wanted to catch the sunset at La Jolla Beach.
La Jolla Beach

We tried to walk down to the pier, only to realize that people were not able to go on it, but no matter, we enjoyed the beautiful beach and sunset. We even saw a couple taking their wedding photos!
After strolling along the beach, we debated between going home or getting food. We decided to go get food and thank goodness we did because these were the best tacos I’d ever had.
The Taco Stand

There was a line OUT THE DOOR for these tacos, and after eating them, I can see why! I got a baja fish taco which was the best fish taco I’d ever had. The fish was perfectly fried. I also had a pollo (chicken) taco which was also delicious. 10/10 recommend.

After eating our tacos, we drove home after a super fun day trip in the San Diego area!
Until Next time,
A
