Restoration Hardware Cafe – Visiting One New Coffee Shop a Month 2025

Dear Adventure Avenue,

One of my goals for the year is visiting one new coffee shop a month. This goal was a friends idea, and when she asked if I wanted to do it with her I was all in! This goal is going to be a lot of FUN!

For January, we went to Fashion Island in Newport Beach and into Restoration Hardware. It became very apparent at that point that there was probably a reason neither of us had ever been to a Restoration Hardware.

We walked inside and were met by two grand staircases leading upstairs. The high ceilings were adorned with chandeliers in almost every room. At one point, we played “Guess how much” to a vintage brass floor lamp. It was almost $1000. I couldn’t find the exact one we saw in store, but it did look like this. I found one that looks a lot like the one we saw for a LOT less than that.

After wandering each grand floor and taking in the views, we headed to the top floor to their rooftop restaurant and cafe.

The restaurant requires a reservation to get into, but the “cafe” does not. To order your beverage from the cafe, turn left after coming up the stairs and order at the coffee station. After receiving your beverage, you have two seating options. You can either sit at some couches inside in the middle of the restaurant area, or you can go outside on the open-air terrace to enjoy the sea air and the view. We chose the latter option.

I enjoyed an iced chai tea latte and my friend got the Iced matcha latte. I liked how they grated the spices on top of my latte; however, I could have used a little more as towards the end of my beverage, it did get a little milky. The crushed ice was also good. The drink was a bit on the pricey side though at around $8 for the drink.

Drink with a view

A table in the shade became available, so we moved into the shade. We’d both brought our kindles to read a little while we enjoyed our drinks.

I was reading Rich AF by Vivian Tu.

Before we departed to stroll around Fashion Island – okay find the Barnes and Noble – I stopped at the restroom where I discovered that even the restrooms were immaculate.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend this rooftop cafe. The ambiance and the view of the ocean make this a place to visit.

Until next time,

A
