Dear Adventure Avenue,
After having dinner at Momiji and getting ice cream at Salt & Straw, we started walking back to the hotel when we discovered a Starbucks Reserve. Of course we had to stop and check it out!
It was definitely a more elevated experience than your typical Starbucks. At this Starbucks Reserve, there were fancy pastries and different foods to choose from. You can also order alcohol at these Starbucks locations. I saw some people who had the espresso martini flights.
Another cool thing about this location was the mini manufacturing line they had setup. We were there too late to do any tastings, but that was also an option.
After we thoroughly checked out the Starbucks, we started to walk back to the hotel, and we made it all the way there – only to decide to keep going down to the water to the Public Market.
The Public Market
It was not too far to walk down to the Public Market, but I wouldn’t recommend walking down there by yourself at night. Luckily, we had a group of people to explore the Public Market with.
This Public Market sign is not the main sign with the clock. From this sign, it was to the left.
Gum Wall
Very close to the above Public Market sign with the clock – and down some stairs – was the infamous gum wall. I have to say being so close to it in person, was kindof disgusting. We overheard a tour guide say that every time the wall gets cleaned of the gum, it’s back within the next week.
Until next time,
A
