Dear Adventure Avenue,
Yesterday I called it a year on the garden. It was an adventure, but not the one I was really hoping for.
Of all my zucchinis and squash plants, only one even made it to produce anything. Unfortunately the things it produced didn’t get bigger than the size of my finger. They just dried up on the stalk.
Bonide Neem Oil Spray, 32 Oz.” target=”_blank”>Neem oil did not work as well as the Bonide Copper Fungicide Rtu Natural 1 Qt” target=”_blank”>copper fungicide as evidenced by the white and not green zucchini leaves. Maybe that’s why they didn’t mature…
Or they may not have gotten enough sun as their location only received direct sunlight for a couple hours.
I dumped the dirt that was in my pots into the ground to hopefully improve the soil for next year. I’m thinking an herb or mint garden might be a better idea for that area, but we shall see.
The strawberries grew well but did not make any berries.
My garden adventure did not go as I had hoped, much like the year that is 2020. But there is a silver lining like all things- My tomatoes are still doing great!
Maybe I’ll have better luck next year. 🙂
Sincerely,
A
