Day 2
June 23, 2019
Dear Adventure Avenue,
This morning, we got up and ate breakfast down at our hotel’s buffet. It was a wide spread. I particularly enjoyed the pan au chocolates (chocolate croissants) and the freshly squeezed orange juice.
Then we walked across the street to the Ruhl Plage where we rented chairs, umbrellas, and unfortunately towels. (Note to self: bring towels unless you want to pay 6 euro for one).
It was such a beautiful day. The water was a little cold and salty but it felt really nice once we got used to it. I even jumped off the little dock into the water which was fun. Now the beach there is all rocks, so it’s a good idea to bring and wear water shoes.
We ate lunch at the beach there. I had a pizza with cheese, olives, and ham. It was good. The crust was thin and crispy. My mom and Grand-mère split a lobster sandwich which was delicious. (I had a bite- soooo good!)
After lunch we went back to our chairs and the water. It was a perfect day for the beach.
Later we went out to dinner at La Femme du Boulanger. We had a delicious tomato and mozzarella flatbread. Grand-mère had lamb, which I tried for the first time and enjoyed.
After dinner, we went up to our hotel’s roof and had drinks. I had a virgin pina colada which was pretty good. There was a beautiful sky and view of the sea.
Until Tomorrow,
A from Nice
