Disney World 2020 Day 4

Day 4 January 10, 2020

Dear Adventure Avenue,

SPOILER WARNING- Half way through this post there are spoilers about Star Wars Land including Oga’s Cantina and Smuggler’s Run. If you are like me and do not like Star Wars related stuff to be spoiled for you, move along, the end of this post is not the post you’re looking for.

This morning we slept in quite a bit. My mom, dad, and I went to Epcot using the skyliner to get breakfast at the French bakery. We all had ham and cheese croissants. The French area wasn’t crowded at all– it was so nice.

My mom went back to the room while my dad and I went on Test Track. We did single rider and pretty much just walked right on.

After that we went on the Finding Nemo ride. We saw some dolphins and some manatees after the ride. The dolphins were swimming around.

Waiting at another rope drop outside China

Then we decided to walk around the World Showcase. We started in Mexico and Norway because those were open and eventually waited at the rope for the rest of the showcase to be opened.

We went into the Circle theatre to learn about China. My dad realized he lost his sunglasses when we were coming out of that. Luckily he found them. Well, the lady at the entrance had collected them from a bench my dad had previously been sitting at.

We walked to America to see a show but it didn’t start until 12 and we were meeting the rest of the family then, so we looked at some pictures and paintings in a shop.

Then we went to Japan and watched the Taiko drummers. I quite enjoyed that. My dad and I each took a picture with the three drummers.

We then went to Germany to wait for the rest of the family. The bratwursts and sauerkraut were soooo good. I didn’t particularly care for the apple strudel but I think it may have something to do with the raisins inside it.

After lunch my brother, uncle, dad, and I did single rider for Test Track. It was a lot longer line than earlier today. My mom sat that one out. Oma and Papa went on Spaceship Earth and then back to the hotel.

After Test Track we went on Living With the Land.

My uncle went back to the hotel and the remainder of us went to a Disney and Pixar short film 4D movie viewing. We saw Mickey Get a Horse, Piper (my favorite), and The Feast. We all really enjoyed that.

My mom and I went to the French bakery to get me a Napoleon while my brother and dad went back to the room.

Warning! Spoilers ahead!

We soon met them back there to take a little rest before going to Hollywood Studios.

We had planned on going to Star Tours because we had a fastpass; however, we realized that Smuggler’s Run was a 45 minutes wait. Since we had been on Star Tours many times, we went on Smuggler’s Run.

Part of the line decorations

I got to be pilot and I LOVED IT! My brother was a gunner and my dad was an engineer.

So the people in front of us (I think mother/daughter) were talking and I heard the mother say she didn’t want to be pilot so I piped up and said I would trade with her. She traded and her daughter asked if she could be on the right side and I let her because I was so happy to be pilot. We got the second highest rank, Pirate!

At times, the bartenders would start singing and dancing to the Star Wars tunes

Then my dad, my mom, Papa, my brother, and I went to Oga’s Cantine. My brother left because it was too loud and he didn’t want anything.  I got the Cliff Dweller which was citrus juices, coconut, ginger ale, and some other concoction they make. I thought it was fun and definitely worth checking it out; although, I don’t see it as a repeatable visit for me.

I did not buy the expensive (40 dollars if I’m remembering correctly) Porg cup.

After that we used our fastpass for Toy Story Mania and I again got the highest score. I was sitting next to Papa. His accuracy is pretty good compared to mine.

After that the whole fam minus my mom went on Smuggler’s Run twice. The first time my dad and brother were the pilots and my dad was not great. I did a lot better as the gunner this time. I got over 10 tie fighters.

Some tools spotted on the Falcon

The second time my brother and I were the pilots and we did better than I did with the girl earlier.

Then we went back to our hotel because the park was closed. The skyliner line was long but it moved quickly.

We ate leftovers in the room for dinner. My brother got chicken nuggets from the downstairs quick service place.

Until tomorrow,

A
