Disney World 2020 Day 6

Day 6 January 12, 2020

Dear Adventure Avenue,

SPOILERS AHEAD for Star Wars Land and Savi’s Workshop. If you’re like me and you do not want these experiences spoiled this is not the post you’re looking for, move along 😉

I got up fairly early thanks to some snoring from my dad. I got ready and headed over to Epcot. I got there and I was just about to take the left to Norway when I was asked where I was going and told to take the long way around. I believe it had something to do with the marathon that goes through most of the park. So I went the long way, listened to the Disney music for the runners, and watched the tired runners run the rest of the way.

I still got to Norway fairly early and was able to walk right onto Frozen– a ride that is very enjoyable if you like Frozen but not usually worth the 60 minute plus wait time.

I went to try and do the ride in Mexico but the cast member there (who was eating cup of noodle) said they did not open until 11 and it was still only 9:15, so I made my way over to Test Track.

I finally got to sit in the front on a Test Track which was fun.

After that I made my way back to the skyliner. Unfortunately the marathon made it harder to get out. I had to wait to cross the street in England so I could leave the park. (note: Disney during marathon week can be quite unmagical at times)

I finally made it to the skyliner and got a car all to myself.

The cast member loading onto the skyliner said, “Miss, you dropped your smile.”

And I didn’t realize was he was saying so I’m looking for whatever I dropped and then I realized and I looked up, laughed, and realized my mistake.

Then the other cast member said, “Again with the corny joke?” And then to me, “Hey your socks are untied.”

They made me laugh. It was fun.

When I got back to the room I ate a ham and cheese croissant that my parents had picked up. Then the three of us went and met my uncle and brother at Hollywood Studios.

My dad and I single rider-ed Smuggler’s Run and were of course Engineers. I had never been that so it was cool to do all of them. Pilot is my favorite though.

While we were waiting in line, I played a Star Wars game on the Disney Play app that was fun. You follow a story and solve puzzles on the one I did.

My Kaduu pork ribs with a piece of blueberry cornbread

After that we met up with the other two and went to lunch at a restaurant in Galaxy’s Edge. I had the smoked Kaduu pork ribs and some Moof Juice. Both were pretty good. The experience of eating in a Star Wars themed area made it super worth it.

Chicken Tip Yip

After lunch we went single rider on Rock and Roll Rollercoaster. They played a song I liked this time (Dude Looks Like A Lady).

Then we got these ice cream sandwiches from a place nearby. They were delicious! You could choose your own flavor for the inside. I chose mint chip.

We went back to the hotel to rest before going back to Hollywood Studios so that I could go to Savi’s Workshop and my brother could go to the Droid building.

And OH MY GOODNESS!!! Building my lightsaber there was soooo much fun!!!

My uncle and I were waiting to go into the workshop when we noticed a large family with young naughty children. And of course we were called to be right next to them.

My uncle whispered to the cast member and asked if we could have a buffer and luckily they accommodated us. It really worked out because I got the best spot in the whole room. I was right in the middle and could see the storyteller very well.

We had a good storyteller who was very enchanting. I loved how she described all the kyber crystals. And then she had us imagine the crystal we wanted in our minds and when I opened my eyes the crystals were right in front of me and I picked the blue one that I wanted.

Then I got to attach the parts to my hilt. My theme is Peace and Justice.

As we left the workshop there were some First Order troops who were trying to stop us. The helpers told us to tell the troops that our new lightsabers were just scrap metal.

Then as we were waiting to see where to meet the rest of the family Kylo Ren came up to me and said, “Your thoughts betray you.” And then he said something about how I shouldn’t be with the Resistance. I told him, “oh I’m totally not with the Resistance.” (But of course I am). Then a First Order stormtrooper told me “Goodbye!” as they stormed off to question more people.

I was so happy!!!

We went and met the family at Hollywood and Vine for dinner. It’s a buffet with meet and greet with Daisy, Donald, Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy.

After we finished eating, my brother and I went back to the room to drop off our respective new droid and lightsaber.

I liked these guys

Then we walked over to the Mexico ride and rode that while we waited for my uncle and Oma to meet us at Test Track. The Mexico ride was very similar to It’s a Small World.

Test Track was fun. We had Fastpasses. I got to sit in the middle for the first time on this trip.

We watched the fireworks show at Epcot but it wasn’t as good as the old one.

After that we went back to the room and started to pack.

Until Tomorrow,

A
