Disney World’s Space 220 Restaurant Review

My family went on a trip to Walt Disney World during Thanksgiving break where we stayed at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas. Our room and restaurant reservations were all booked by Hannah Little who is a FABULOUS Disney Vacation Planner. I’ve linked her website here. She’s amazing! She was able to book us this reservation at Space 220!

Dear Adventure Avenue,

We were able to go to Space 220 in EPCOT for dinner our first night in Disney World. It was a very cool experience. If you don’t want the experience ruined for you, then stop reading now before it is spoiled.

To start, we went inside the restaurant 15 minutes before our reservation time to make sure we didn’t miss it as it is really hard to get a reservation here.

We were given a boarding pass and told to wait for the shuttle to take us up.

When it was our turn to board, we entered through these elevator doors:

The elevator doors closed.
The elevator doors open.

We entered into the elevator where we then were taken 220 miles off the Earth into space. We viewed our climb through a viewport in the floor of the elevator.

We saw a display of cabbages as we exited the elevator into the restaurant.

We then walked into the main dining area and were taken to our table. The expanse of space was quite amazing.

We sat to the left of this photo.

We made our way to our seat where we saw various things floating out in space including a space dog.

The menu is a prefix menu where you get an appetizer, entree, and dessert. The kids meal has an entree and a dessert.

Appetizers

The leaves were a bit big on this salad.
This was delicious tempura fried cauliflower. The red sauce was very spicy.
This was my appetizer. It’s a burrata cheese with a side salad and a tomato sauce. I only wish there was a bit more of the tomato sauce, but the cheese was so fresh!

Dinner

I had the duck which was good.
The kids steak was not a filet, but more like steak frittes (steak and fries in France)
The adult filet

The smoked salmon came with a bit of show!

Dessert

The kid’s dessert was a cupcake
This was an interesting peanut caramel tart with caramel popcorn on top.
This was a chocolate cheesecake. It was very rich.
I had the Pistachio and Citrus which is a pistachio mousse, with blood orange sorbet. The cake had a citrus-y taste, but the description on the menu said “charcoal olive oil” which I assume is talking about the cake.

All in all, it was a great experience (though a bit pricey) and a great start to our Walt Disney World 2022 adventure!

Sincerely,

A
