How I Adventure in Walt Disney World 2022 – Day 4

My family went on a trip to Walt Disney World during Thanksgiving break where we stayed at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas. Our room and restaurant reservations were all booked by Hannah Little who is a FABULOUS Disney Vacation Planner. I’ve linked her website here. She’s amazing! We had the best time and were able to do everything we wanted to do and more.

Dear Adventure Avenue,

Day 4 started out as a down day. Half of our party didn’t get up till nine. I happened to wake up at 7 and booked us the Frozen Ever After ride that is normally way too long of a wait in the ordinary line.

For breakfast, we had peanut butter toast using the peanut butter we’d brought in our luggage. My mom and I also added strawberry jam which we’d gotten at the place where we refilled our souvenir mugs.

Then we headed to EPCOT! We first did the Frozen ride which is a double lightning lane scan which means you can’t book your next one until you’ve scanned your card a second time. After we’d all been scanned in, I booked us Spaceship Earth which was one of the only things available. There were no more Test Track or Ratatouille available.

Before we boarded Spaceship Earth, I booked us Soarin’ for the afternoon.

German Lunch

After the ride, we went to Germany to get some bratwursts for lunch. They were delicious! They come with sauerkraut on top and chips with (I think) paprika on the side.

After lunch, we started heading back to the room, but on the way back, my mom and I stopped at England which is near the exit to buy my souvenir. I was sold on the teapot I’d seen there earlier in the week. It is a very pretty blue with Minnie Mouse on it.

I bought the teapot with Minnie on it!

Once that was purchased (with gift cards I’d been saving), we headed back to the room for a rest.

After resting, my dad and I headed to do Soarin’ with our Lightning Lanes (my mom and brother didn’t want to do it). We had to wait a surprisingly long time considering we had a Lightning Lane. However, once we got in the boarding zone, we were able to request section B and row 1 which we learned from the cast member working there was the one that went up high. We didn’t want to see people’s feet.

After Soarin’, we went to watch Awesome Planet which is a 10-minute film about Earth. It would also be a great place to go if it was raining or super hot. There were barely any people in the rather large theater. It’s also narrated by the actor who plays Phil in Modern Family.

Dinner

Then we met back up with my mom and brother at our 4:35 dinner in Italy. We love Via Napoli! We all got pizza. My brother got a cheese pizza and everyone else split the Carciofi with prosciutto added on top. The carciofi was a white pizza with artichoke, fontina, mozzarella, and truffle oil. Delicious!

We also had a birthday, so they brought out a cream puff that tasted just like a donut with cream filling.

After dinner, my mom and I stopped at the French bakery to pick up breakfast and some treats. I conversed with the cast members in French and ordered our food with no issues! We got a tarte aux fraise, Napoléon, and three ham and cheese croissants. They were all out of the ham and butter baguette sandwiches, unfortunately.

We dropped off the goodies at the room and then went to Hollywood Studios to watch Fantasmic! Be sure to get there on the earlier side if you want good seats. It was a good show. I’d give it a 7/10. The villain part goes on a little long, but I liked how they incorporated some newer songs from Frozen and Moana.

It was a madhouse getting out of there, but we succeeded in doing so without getting run over by a motorized wheelchair like another little kid did.

We took the Skyliner to Epcot and my parents went to France for some champagne while my brother and I headed back to the room.

It was a more relaxing day, but one filled with doing a few things we’d not done in a while and well, I still got over 22,000 steps.

Until tomorrow,

A
