London England 2023: Kensington Gardens & Princess Diana’s Favorite Pizza Day 1

Dear Adventure Avenue,

After disembarking the plane and heading through customs – which was super easy, barely an inconvenience by the way, we headed by Uber to our hotel.

Getting to where Uber can pick you up was a little complicated. From where we were in terminal 3, we had to go to the short term car park 3 (parking garage) and take the elevator up to floor 3 to get there.

The Uber ride was not too bad, at 45 pounds and there wasn’t much traffic.

Once at the hotel, we figured out our game plan.

The sun was out and people were enjoying it!

We decided to walk to Hyde Park; though, the part we were at was the Kensington Gardens part.

We even saw the exterior of Kensington Palace with a statue of Victoria in front of it.

We kept walking down the broad street pathway all the way to the other side where the city began again.

Then we continued left into the park where we saw some strange things.

Acrobatic lessons

We made it to a big monument by Queen Victoria with a statue of Prince Albert, her husband.

Each surrounding pillar was a continent.

Then we discovered a flower garden so we went down that path.

It was there that we saw all the signs telling us which animals were not to be fed. Parakeets, pigeons, and squirrels being the three we saw.

Nonetheless, we saw Birds eating out of peoples hands like Disney Princesses. We also saw the squirrels and pigeons trying to get food – And even one big rat 🤢.

After we walked around, we headed to our dinner reservation at Da Mario, Princess Diana’s favorite Pizzeria. We had a tomato, Buffalo mozzarella, avocado, and olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Then we got the special Pizza Diana, Regina, and my brother a mozzarella cheese pizza. The food was so fresh and good!

For dessert, I had coconut gelato and my dad got mango gelato. My mom had some of both. The coconut was delicious and the mango tasted like actual mangos! So so good!
