Dear Adventure Avenue,
I’ve always wanted to make vanilla extract, so this year my mom and I finally made some! I’ve included what we used and the steps to make it below!
Materials
- Vanilla Beans
- Bottles – We got these
- Vodka – Costco Vodka is the cheapest I’ve found
Instructions
- I washed the bottles first
2. We sliced the vanilla bean down the middle and cut them in half
3. Then added 1 full vanilla bean into the bottles. You could add more if you wanted it to be stronger faster, you could add more.
4. Add Vodka to cover the vanilla beans
5. Then it will sit in a cool dry place for about 3 months.
