Dear Adventure Avenue,
We were warmly greeted as we arrived and were seated at the front of the restaurant. We ordered our drinks and started looking at the menu.
My aunt had been there before, so she recommended getting several different things to share.
To start off, my mom and I got a bruschetta to split. The tomatoes were absolutely perfect in flavor and textures. My aunt and dad ordered mussels and clams in white wine sauce for the table. Again, the sauce did not disappoint.
For our main course, we did a pesto, spaghetti with red sauce, spaghetti with meatballs (and red sauce), and a margarita pizza to sort of share amongst everyone. My dad got the lasagna.
The pesto was my favorite, but the meatballs were also really good. I had a slice of the pizza which was also good. I seriously had no complaints and would’ve eaten anything of what we got.
After eating dinner, we knew we wanted to get dessert because the first courses had been so good. My dad and aunt both had a tiramisu – and were glad they didn’t share just one. My mom special ordered an affogato and got it. Did I mention they were so nice here! My brother and I split a piece of chocolate cake and ice cream which you guessed it – was also delicious!
After we finished eating, the owner gave us a tour of the restaurant and explained the significance of all the art and fixtures from Italy used in the decorating.
Then we went down to the kitchen and saw where they make all our delicious food including the special pizza oven from Italy. They even had a cold room wine cellar that was situated underneath the street.
All in all, I highly recommend this Italian restaurant! It’s a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth it!
