Dear Adventure Avenue,
As you may know, I am a French major and I love all things French! So this past week, I had an assignment in my French Cuisine class (it’s as cool as it sounds :)) where we looked at cookbooks from the 1800s. We picked a “ménagère” recipe for our weekly assignment. (Side note: ménagère means housewife in French). I adjust the recipe slightly (due to the fact that there were no measurements) which is what I will be sharing with you today. (This is the cookbook that it is from). The original recipe is called Haricots Verts à la Ménagère.
And oh my goodness! It was soooo delicious, AND it only took me 20 minutes to make! So this recipe is definitely quick and easy! Click “Jump to Recipe” to get the printable recipe!
