Dear Adventure Avenue,
In November 2020 my family and I travelled to Santa Barbara for a mini vacation. Beautiful weather combined with good food and the amazing Ritz-Carlton Bacara made our trip a definite success!
First off, lets start to with the courtyard that we drove up into when we first arrived…
I snapped this photo after we came back from our ghost tour.
A lovely array of Fall themed pumpkins and foliage greeted us as we walked into the lobby to check in.
Opposite the socially distanced check-in desks were some indoor seating options followed by an entryway to the O bar.
Pools
There were two pools that we passed by quite often. One was the main pool and the other was the smaller adult pool. It was a little too cold for us to go swimming, but the cooler weather didn’t stop other guests from jumping in!
The adult pool:
Restaurants
We ate at the Bistro a couple times and it was delicious! The portions were very generous!
There was another place to eat that looked a little more casual called First Drop. We didn’t get a chance to try it on this trip.
Our Room
Now! Time to see the room!
We had a Deluxe two Queens room with a courtyard view.
There was a coffee maker with some tea bags next to it.
The courtyard view was perfect for reading my book: Nine Women, One Dress. It was a great book!
Bathroom
Mere’s Room with a View
My Grand-mere (French for grandma) or as we call her, Mere, had a King bed ocean front room – complete with its own in room fireplace!
Opposite the bed was the door to the beautiful view of the ocean.
I hope you have enjoyed this photo tour of the Ritz-Carlton Bacara Hotel in Santa Barbara, California!
Sincerely,
A
