I think one thing everyone can relate to – at least at one point in their life – is wanting (or needing) more money. I have scoured the Internet and Pinterest looking for the best apps to earn some extra money. Some of these apps take longer to earn money than others, but they will all pay out in the end! REPEAT they are not a SCAM. (I really don’t like scammy apps :/)
1. Ibotta
Ibotta is by far my favorite app to make money! I have made over $100 in gift cards with it! To use it you just have to click the store you want. (There are lots of stores like Target, Albertsons, Ralphs, etc).
Then you click the offers you want that match what you purchased on your receipt. Some of them are brand specific, but sometimes they will post a generic brand so for example “Any Cheese”.
Then you submit your receipt and scan the barcode of the item you purchased. Your account will then be credited. Once you reach $25 you can cash out with Paypal or a gift card. I always cash out with a gift card!

2. Shopkick
I have had Shopkick awhile now and I have been able to make over $50 without having to submit any receipts! The premise for Shopkick is simple, you walk into the store (like Target), open your Shopkick app, and the magic of Bluetooth takes over. Seriously, it’s really that easy.
Now of course, you can scan things around the store to earn even more points. My friends and I have spent many a times, wandering around Target scanning and making money. You can also scan your receipts for Shopkick, but there usually isn’t anything that I buy that is receipt scan worthy.

3. Fetch
I am fairly new to Fetch but I love it because you can scan ANY RECEIPT! I have only had it for a few months and I have already cashed out a $5 Amazon gift card!
This app is super easy to use; you just scan any receipt and they will always give you at least 5 points per receipt. I usually get 25-50 points per receipt – unless I bought something that they are promoting at the time. Grocery store receipts usually earn you more points because they have more opportunities for bonus points.
Another cool feature about Fetch is that it tracks your spending, so you can see exactly where your money is going each month – all while making some money!

4. Checkout 51
I like Checkout 51 because it sends you an actual check! I have received one check from them so far. You have to reach a $20 threshold to redeem the check, but it is certainly worth the wait.
This app is also great because it includes gas stations! You pick out a gas station that you want to go to via the app. It tells you how much gas is at the gas station and how much they will pay you per gallon. Its usually around 9 to 15 cents a gallon, but I have seen it as high as 20 cents a gallon. This may not seem like a lot, but it certainly adds up!
5. Swagbucks
There is an app for this one, but you do have to sign up online first. There are so many opportunities to earn “Swagbucks” on your computer, but I recommend installing the app to do the daily poll, watch videos, take surveys, and submit receipts.
This sight can be overwhelming at first because there is SO. MUCH. TO. DO. I recommend setting it up when you have time, so you can maximize on those early “easy” beginner points.
