Throwback Thursday: Fort Lauderdale and the Florida Keys 2015 Day 3

This is part of a series of trips or destination that I have been to in the past. One of the main reasons why I started this blog was because I started keeping a travel journal, so I have many stories and places saved written down. I have visited both fun and interesting places that I really want to share so here goes…

Day 3

Dear Adventure Avenue,

Grand-Mere and I went to breakfast again on the sixth floor. Then I did some swimming at the pool while Grand-mere read. Then we went to the beach and boogie boarded.

We walked down to the Casablanca Cafe for lunch. I had jumbo shrimp cocktail which was DELISH! We then walked back to our hotel and went to Starbucks. We both got black iced tea. Grand-mère’s had no water but mine did. (Side note from 2019 me- no water is the way to go for Starbucks iced tea).

We checked out of our hotel and took a car service to the airport. When we got there, we waited for my mom, dad, and brother to arrive. When they got there, they picked up our rental car at Dollar.

We then drove to Island Mirada where we were staying at Cheeca lodge. For dinner we went to Lorelei which worked out very well. We got a good table by the water. My mom and I split coconut shrimp.

We went back to the hotel and into Grand-mere’s AH-MAZING room. It was so big! There was even its own little outdoor hot tub- which of course my brother and I had to try.

I still have this room card!

Signing off, until tomorrow,

A
